Fulmer knows about as much as I do about running an athletic dept and thats NOTHING! He had problems of his own keeping his guys in check and he sucked at coaching not to mention he stabbed Johnny in the back to get the job in the first place. Manning and Cutcliff saved him at UT plain and simple. Can you tell Im not a Fulmer fan :). Johnny stabbed himself in the back by running his cocky mouth.

Thank God he's gone. As for Fulmer, I don't know if he would be good or not, but they will hire they want to so i'm not worried about it as i have no sway over the decision.

The only problems I had with Hammy was his timing for announcing things and his people management. He had the business part of being AD covered. He just didn't manage the people under him good enough. There are a ton of sports at UT besides football and basketball. The AD also has a lot to do with taking care of the music dept., too. Pat has already said that there is no way she would be interested. Fulmer could probably handle the job and has a love for the University but I don't see that happening. Condredge Holloway would be another name to throw in. I guess we will see what happens. Whoever it is will have their hands full cleaning up some messes that have been made in recent years.

1.3 Million buyout over 3 years plus EIGHT LIFETIME football AND basketball seats. Not bad for being a total screwup!

IMO, Fulmer is exactly who UT needs at the present time. His love for UT is as strong as it ever was. I think that he would "Give his all for UT" EVERY day that he was on the job! And this mindset would rally the UT faithful behind his leadership, and quite possibly aid in a quicker recovery of gaining top prospects to attend school there. With the recent advent of the "Vol for life" program, coupled with a proven leader and well respected alumnus such as Fulmer; I think that the ship could be righted quickly!
I wasn't the biggest fan of Fulmer in his latter years either, but I have to say I believe he would be a good AD for TN. That man can recruit if nothing else! Fulmer is bitter at the Univ. and Hammy. Put in the position of AD, he would ultimatly try to 'regain' what he had as HC and run the football program as well as AD. He wouldnt be able to stay just as the AD... Bad choice. He's bitter at Hamilton....Yes. But, bitter at the University? I think not. Bitter at the Univ? YES.... Loves UT? Definatly! Still upset that 'they', the Univ., didnt stop Hammy from firing him? YES again... I am not saying that he HATES the Univ.... just that deep down inside, through interviews he has done..... yes. He IS still upset NOBODY stopped Hammy from doing what HAD to be done. Givin the chance to take Hammy's position to 'regain' control over 'his' football program would be a disaster!
