I'm reposting this in the hope more folks will pray - this is from the Dickson County FB page:
Dickson County Sheriff's Office
As many have heard bits and pieces, Deputy Keith Bellar was shot during an early morning incident. Our prayers are him and his family. We ask that everyone also keep them in their prayers as well. At last report he was in very serious/critical condition but has been stailized. Prayers are desperately needed at this time. Thank you so very much.
God bless all the officers who strive to protect our community.
Christine, my daughter, went to school with Kieth and his wife - who, BTW, have a new 6 month old. Keith is 'extreamly critical' and Vanderbilt - yesterday morning, he 'came upon' what appeard to be a traffic accident. What it was, was an attempted murder sucided 'in progress' of an estranged boyfriend and his girl (a Dickson Co dispatcher). The officer pulled up to the scene, called it in, and was fired upon before ever leaving his car. Shot in the head. The perp then walked behind the car and shot himself.
Please keep Keith and his family in your prayers and prayer chains -
