Anyone have a nickname your constantly called by? Howd you get it?
Ever since I can remember my Dad has called me Duke. I asked him why he calls me this and he said "I dont know but it fits. LOL
A couple of years ago I was home on leave and we desided to go out for a few beers at the local DAV. He kept callin me Duke so the bartender assumed it was my name. She kept sayin "Hey Duke" "Need another beer Duke?" When I told her it wasnt my name she looked confussed and asked me why my dad kept callin me that. I replyed with a lyric from a Big&Rich song and said "Cause Im the only John Wayne left in this town" I said it as loud as i could and with the deepest southern accent i could muster up and smiled real big. I thought my dad was gonna quit breathin he was laughin so hard.

When I was flying my call sign was "Razor", not because I was sharp or anything but because every time I got close to something sharp I cut myself!!

My grandfather called all 4 of us grandson's Jughead. If he needed help he would just yell out Jughead and one of us would come running,

All of my friends in the music venue call me by a nick name. The problem is that is also proper name, so no one really knows that its a nickname unless somebody tells em. It has just compounded within that venue to where 90% of the folks that "know" me think thats is my name...Some of them have become close friends and just came to realised my real name after several years!
But I will answer to anything if I think you are talking to me...and sometimes even if I think you aren't!!
