Mid-South Gay Pride 2011 - Memphis Gay Pride 2011
Celebrating the Mid-South Gay Pride Festival in Memphis
The largest city in Tennessee, Memphis is the host of Mid-South Pride, one of the biggest Gay Pride celebrations in the South, which comprises a series of events, including a huge parade and festival. Although Mid-South Pride has taken place in June in past years, last year marked a shift to mid-October (a beautiful time to visit Memphis, incidentally). The expected date for Mid-South Pride is October 15, 2011, but planners were still deciding on this year's venue, as of this writing.

BTW, Obama also repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in the military earlier this year.

Why do the "special" people get designated days on the calendar?
What about the rest of us "normal" folk?
Why can "we" not be offended enough to promote a change like this from happening?
We also have a black history month...why?
We do not have a white/caucasion history month...why?
