movies in the park was great the first few years, now it is very crowded. they do have good grub from some of nashville's food trucks.

That's kinda the shame of it all. Here is the Metro Gov't sponsoring an attempt to provide a fun and useful service. Then the thugs show up and ruin it for everyone. How long will the sponsors continue and the food trucks show up if it is putting their people in harms way. They didn't sign up for that.
This is what happened at 100 Oaks Mall, Fountain Square Mall, etc. Now it is happening to Rivergate, Hickory Hollow, The Wave Pool or any number of night clubs and social spots.
Theives will steal from you as long as you allow it.
So when this program shuts down because of the problems there will be the inevitable cries of racism, elitism, cronyism and how the local governance does not care about these people. They will refuse to see that any attempt to revitalize an urban area is doomed to failure until the urbanites are willing to cooperate with the rules and show basic civilized behaviour, instead of the the self indulgent anarachy that rules a pack of dogs.

It's not the type of people at the park, it just the numbers. I'm not one for the elbow to elbow crowd.
