Nimrod777, you're exactly right about that woman. The good thing is all of us men but one missed the joy in marrying her. Poor fella.

Do what makes you happy! I decided to stay in the small family business and have now been here going on 30 years. I could have gone elsewhere and made more $$ but I chose to work here and do not regret it. My wife has worked since she was 15 and WE have no regrets. Our son mumbles and grumbles about other{often spoiled} kids getting "stuff" that he doesn't have but then again he comments on how he has loved his first 20 years of life and wants to know when we will move and sell him our home and land. Working for yourself may allow you to spend\see your future kids doing the things that will give you memories for a lifetime as well.

Memphis to answer your first question. I have a degree in Finance.
Do you not like financial matters?

It all depends on what you want in life and thats something you and your wife should come to agreement on. Im 26 right now but 3 years ago I had to decide whether I wanted to play baseball or to get a steady carreer to support my family. I decided on a carreer and can say I have no doubts. I'm proud of the fact that I can provide for my wife and daughter. I was also able to buy a nice piece of hunting land which fulfills my other passion.
No matter what you decide it is always a good idea to continue your education in the field you love in case an opportunity ever arises. You can always be a trainer on the side if it comes down to that. Its never too late to go back to school to get a degree in something that you like.

What degree do you have? Because if you want that lakehouse, you'd better be pullin in some major cash! I'm willing to wager that most husbands and wives work today. If one stays at home, they have to make sacrifices. Your married, you guys are a team. One will always make more than the other. Just work hard and provide the best you can for your family.

My take on this is if you get a desk job you will probably gain weight and your wife will leave you because your fat but if you stay in the training/fitness area you will stay in shape and enjoy what your doing. Seriously your 24 making 30k in an economy that sucks right now so I wouldnt worry about it just yet but if a better oppurtunity arises and its something you enjoy go for it.

Do what makes you happy and dont worry about her. Maybe you would enjoy getting your CPA since you have a finance degree? More money there.

At 24 making 30K that's not bad in this economy. But you have only had 2 months. It might get a lot better or might fall off a bit. You sound like a guy with his head on his shoulders so I know everything will work out like its suppose to. I would do what I love to do but keep feelers out for other opportunities. And don't worry about things like Health insurance. Obamacare will cover it.
