Our bushes are loaded this year. Already picked a bucket full and would have had more if I can stop eating them as I pick \:\)

I remember picking wild ones when I was younger and I would get covered up with chiggers! I don't see near the amount of wild Blackberry bushes seance farmers stated using Round-Up.

I use to pick the wild ones. Then I started picking the commercial ones. Now I pay the extra dollar a basket and buy them suckers picked. Lot less ticks and chiagras and don't get near as sweaty. Taste just as good, too.

I love picking the wild ones on our farm but I still plan on putting out some of the thornless variety. Arapaho is at the top of the list. They give big berries and lots of juice. Perfect for the makeshift winery.

I usually pick wild ones in July. I have a good crop this year and have cleaned up my two trac roads to help the ease of picking.

Great looking berries you have.

The wild ones are just starting to show some red, but we're leaving for vacation on monday. Many of the wild ones are strong and unpleasant flavored, but sometimes you find a bush or two that is full if fat and tasty ones that are worth getting scratched up to pick.
