That's a pretty good excuse not to use the weedeater for a while!
I'm not sure I would have recognized you without the "hair".

Ha that is funny. I have the same weedeater but have not been swarmed...yet.
Strangely, this behavior in the cicadas just started. Although my neighborhood has been thick with them for weeks, yesterday was the first time the cicadas responded to the weedeater. I do remember 13 years ago they did the very same thing.

I didn't recognize myself for the first months after I started cutting my hair short. I would scare myself every time I looked in a mirror (more than usual that is).
