Been a tough monthf or me. First time in quite a while I had a negative cash flow.

Now don't get the wrong idea. I don't have money rolling in. However, I dotry to earn more than I spend. I am a poster child for Dave Ramsey and his plan does work. I am totally debt free. Don't owe a dime. But I hate to have to dig into a savings account to pay for something even though, that is exactly what that account is for.

This month, it was just one thing after another, not big things, just a ton of little things all at once.

My wife told me to quit bitching. Compared to so many others, I am one lucky dude.

She is dead on. I sure am.

Same here, it makes me feel like I've done something wrong.

Kinda have that problem with my wife. I am retired and savings are for spending on things we want or need. Still so used to putting money in instead of taking money out its hard for her to understand that 1)we are not trying to "save" money 2) we are supposed to use some of the money we saved for things we want.

She has no problem spending if we dont have to draw money out but digging into savings is hard for her.

In a way, feeling guilty for dipping into the Savings is probably a good thing. If you didn't, you probably would not have Savings to dip into.

I have to remind my wife regularly when unexpected exspenses arise- just be thankful that we have the means to pay as there are many that are less fortunate.

I like how your wife thinks. My wife is the same way and I love it (we are not retired though, still working people). \:\)
