Started taking it last week. Sure could use a few prayers. I'd love to kick the habit of smoking. I wanna increase my odds of seeing my lil girl grow up. Today is day one of no smoking whatsoever.

Good luck, I smoked for 25 years, and quit cold turkey 6 years ago. I want one everyday, guess that will never go away.

That craving-- you still trying to be the boss-- got to let it go and give that craving away.

Good luck to you. I have friends who had a lot of success with the chantix. If you are about to lose it and light up, reach for a nicotine lozenge or gum instead. Prayers for you to have the strength to beat this.

http://www.pharmalot.com/2007/11/will-pfizers-chantix-go-up-in-smoke/ The FDA has received reports from the drugmaker of suicidal thoughts and aggressive and erratic behavior in patients who have taken Chantix, a smoking cessation product.
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/89607.php Suicidal Thoughts Could Be Linked To Chantix Says FDA
An early review of the cases suggests that within days to weeks of starting treatment with Chantix, some patients have had first time experiences of depressed mood, suicidal thoughts, and emotional and behavioral changes.

Nicorette worked for me. 95% of the battle is mental; the physical addiction is gone pretty quick.
Good luck!

I have Chantix here at the house, but haven't decided if I wanted to try it or not. I quit cold turkey for 2 years about 15 years ago and picked it back up one day. I really wish that day had never happened!

I'm aware that people could have suicidal thoughts/tendencies. To be honest, I discussed that with my doctor. And I tend to agree with her, the people who commit suicide were not in a good place to begin with. I haven't slipped up yet. Wanted to last night but kept myself busy.
