i built a atv disc out of a old drag disc last year and to my suprise it worked really well.but as my luck would have it two of the box style bearings are in really bad shape and the farm store said they dont make them any more .any one have any thoughts on how i could replace them ?

not sure how to post pics here yet, but it is what they "i think" call a box bearing , a spool with grooves sits in side a housing with matching grooves ,i guess the didnt greese them and it was metal on metal .

yeah thats what i was wondering.i know its hard to say with out seeing it but what are your idea's ?

still working on it . i never found the right bearings , though i did find . some that would have worked . but i would have had to replace all spools and both axles too. so i decide to put it back together with the old bearings. i am now waiting on my new blades , welding up the cuts n the old axles and fabing up a better hitch . i will only be useing it for small projects from time to time so i think the old bearings will be fine . i found a old three point hitch disc that the frame is all broke up . i am now geting a plan together to make another atv dics with it also .
