There were a couple of members on here who had problems with blower motors on their GM trucks with manual A/C systems. Typically, it was a resistor and/or wiring problem that would cause the blower to either not function on all speeds, or not function at all.
GM has issued a special coverage for those vehicles which include:
2003-2006 Avalanche, Suburban Tahoe 2003-2007 Silverado, Sierra 2003-2006 Yukon
They are offering free repair or reimbursement for vehicles within 10 years or 150,000 miles.

i wish they'd issue one for the colorados. everyone i know that has a colorado has that problem including me.

I agree. Same set up and problem. Hang on to any receipts though. It's not uncommon for them to extend these special policies to include other models.
