gnat have had my slapping my self for days and i have found out that deet or a thermal cell can keep them away any ideas on how to keep them off my head

Try a fabric softener sheet- in your pocket or clipped on the back of your hat, I've heard it works great.

Spray your yard with cutters bug free back yard in the early morning or at dusk.
Will knock down the hatch. Lasts about 2 weeks. READ THE LABEL especially if your have pets/kids.

Bad at my house on Mud Island, and at the shop here in Frayser. Both places are within 100 yards of standing floodwater.

Not gnats, here. Small bugs but not gnats. Cicraders are bad, though.
