On the show a lady goes in and buys 151 bottles of Excedrin pain reliever. Just cause the store credited her back... Now no one else can come in and take advantage of the store having it on sell because she comes in and dumps the whole bin into her cart.... Then another lady buys 57 bottles of laundry detergent since the store was running a special of buy 1 get one free and she had a coupon... then another lady clears a shelf of 50+ bags of croutons.... just cause she was getting them free with her coupon and they were on sale..... ALL I CAN SAY IS SHAME ON THEM FOR BEING GREEDY AND TAKING EVERYTHING SO NO ONE ELSE COULD BUY ANY.....

I have think it is great to shop smart but not at other expense.... comeon... 151 bottles of excedrin... I gaurante that women is selling them after she buys them to make more money (she actually did not buy them anyway) 57 bottles of laundry detergent.... come on.......

Hate the show... think it shows some selfish people...

I think there should be a limit on amount purchased and some stores are doing that now.

I was excited about it at first until I watched a few episodes and realized they are spending like 6 hours at the grocery store and who knows how many hours preparing. They only seem to buy crap too. I am all for coupons but they never seem to be for anything we ever eat.

Some of the homes look like they should go on that show about hoarding...

If you would have watched more episodes, you would see a lot of the items end up getting donated to shelters and such.

I also noticed something else, but just may have been that particular episode.

It was the episode with the 'joy-in-her-heart' colored lady. The stuff she was loading up on was not what I consider healthy type stuff.

For that matter, of all the shows I seen, many of the people on there were fat, obese.

The black lady was buying boxes and boxes of junk like Stove Top Stuffing, frozen dinner entrees, and gimme-grab type snacks and junk food. All name brand stuff mind you but what I consider junk. All ultra-processed type package foods.

I didn't notice her or any of them people buying stuff like fresh produce, meats or canned vegetables.

oh yeah, and +1 on the observation regarding hoarding and obsessive compulsive disorder. And, yes I do realize some donate their deals.

I'm not a big coupon proponent, mainly because I don't like to shop around a coupon set. My family doesn't eat TV dinners, so why should I get them just because they're cheap?

Fresh meats, veggies, and few canned ingredients are generally our shopping list. It's sad that we can eat cheaper for mass produced crap than we can for basic meats & veggies.

Never watched that show, but we do save several dollars a week by running comps from different sales papers. I know that Wal-mart groceries will match any other stores advertised sales prices within 50 miles. I think there may be others that do as well. I spend $60 a year on newspaper subscriptions in three different cities. As a result, my wife will save that much within the first month, which payes for the papers. Then she gets to use the comps for the rest of the year, and I get to keep track of what is going on in Westmoreland, Lafayette, and Hartsville. \:D

I probably should invest in taking the time to cut coupons, but we don't even get the paper. Most of the online coupon sites are a waste of time IMO. I basically eat the same thing each week for breakfast, lunch, and a couple of snacks. I don't deviate and they never have coupons for my items.
