Flipping the channels and started watching this. A woman got over $600 worth of grocries for under $5 with coupons. Some of it looked like junk that wouldnt get used before it expired that they got. I hope I dont get behind any of them when im at the store with the stack of coupons she had.

My wife and I have watched every episode so far. I agree with them buying a lot of junk though. The odd ball items seem to be where they "make" the money at though.

I seen the dude that had like 5,000 things of Speedstick in his basement that got for pretty much nothing.

then he got several hundred boxes of Total cereal and donated it.

Problem I see is that, around here I don't know of any stores that do double coupons. And I could just see Kroger telling you to go pound sand if you told them you were gonna swamp them like that. The dude on the show said he coordinated with the store to have them bring in so many cases of cereal just for his coupon napalm attack.

I just don't think that's real around here.

My wife started watching it and last week she bought about $125 in groceries for only $45. All in practical portions - she was thrilled.

I am actually the primary shopper of the family, and used to capitalize on coupons quite a bit. I've scored some deals from time to time, but never got that far into it.

A couple of years ago, a "snack pack" pudding company did a promotion offering sky miles on their packages. A fellow did the math, then started buying every package in town. He eventually filled a truck, and his family had to go into full-time mode peeling labels. Bottom line was that he flew his family of five around the world for about a grand, and got great tax write-offs donating pudding to shelters, schools and soup kitchens. Was pretty awesome!

My wife and I deal with coupons alot. Since she does not work she has the time to collect, cut and organize them.
We do ok with them. Made a quick stop at Walgreens Sunday and bought $30.00 worth of stuff and paid $6.00 for it.

We don't go crazy and buy 1000 tubes of toothpaste but we have a good supply of washing detergent, razors, etc that were pennys on the dollar.

I think some of those people need to be slapped.... they go in a store and buy every single one of items.... Just so they can "make money" on it... now I will admit, I have only watched the show 1 time and I was so disgusted I could not watch it again. On the show a lady goes in and buys 151 bottles of Excedrin pain reliever. Just cause the store credited her back... Now no one else can come in and take advantage of the store having it on sell because she comes in and dumps the whole bin into her cart.... Then another lady buys 57 bottles of laundry detergent since the store was running a special of buy 1 get one free and she had a coupon... then another lady clears a shelf of 50+ bags of croutons.... just cause she was getting them free with her coupon and they were on sale..... ALL I CAN SAY IS SHAME ON THEM FOR BEING GREEDY AND TAKING EVERYTHING SO NO ONE ELSE COULD BUY ANY.....

I have think it is great to shop smart but not at other expense.... comeon... 151 bottles of excedrin... I gaurante that women is selling them after she buys them to make more money (she actually did not buy them anyway) 57 bottles of laundry detergent.... come on.......

Hate the show... think it shows some selfish people...

My wife coupons. She is hardcore, but she will not buy more than a 3-6 month supply of any item. These people are over the top.
