Special Fishing Trip in the AM

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, I'm hauling my son and my canoe to the legendary Yellow Perch Lake that NBForrest used to occasionally post about. As I recollect, the first time I met Jeff was when he responded to my open invitation on the forums to anyone who'd like to float the Hiwassee with me and a couple of friends and catch some trout. On that trip he suggested we go up to a top secret lake high in the mountains sometime, and on our next trip, that's exactly what we did.
That lake not only holds special memories for me where Jeff is concerned, but later I rewarded one of my youth group boys with a fishing trip there, after he memorized the first chapter of James. we had to break the ice off the rod guides from time to time, but it was awesome.
This will be only the second time I've been up there with my son, and last time Jeff was with us. But since he just graduated college, I will never take any such opportunity for granted. I know one day soon, too many miles may separate us.
