Wow! That sounds terrible. I remember watching a kid give a speech in high scrool and he started breaking out on his neck. I kept waiting on him to faint, but he didnt.

I think it was a food allergy and the only thing I can figure is almonds.

Hey it could be ANYTHING! Sometimes you will develop allergies as you age. Could have been laundry detergent.

DB last June I ate grilled tuna and ended up spending 6 hours at the ER in anaphylactic shock...broke out, heartbeat and blood pressure out the roof, and throat/tongue swelling.

You probably should go see your doctor and try and figure out what caused your allergic reaction....maybe get a couple epi-pens just in case you have a more serious reaction to whatever it was that got you going.

Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening type of allergic reaction.

Yep!

I started breaking out in hives on a regular basis about 3 years ago. The only thing the dermatologist recommended without doing extensive and expensive testing is to take zertec. It works for me and I don't break out anymore. I also never had problems with asthma til about two years ago. It only gives me problems me during the spring and fall (allergy season). Getting old sucks and I'm only 27! \:D
