I find it totally reprehensible, that when the price of oil surges, gas prices follow almost simultaneously. But, when the price of oil falls, the price of gas remains at a peak, and even increases somewhat in places!!!!! The time it takes in this computerized age for oil and gas prices to stay proportional should be completely the same up AND down! We are being held hostage...

the gas in their tanks is still the gas they paid the higher price for. just because the price of oil goes down, if they have a couple thousand gallons they paid the higher price for, they are not going to lower the price until the next shipment. that may take a while.

Why does it seem that the gas that is still in thier tanks that they bought last month at a cheaper prices goes up instantly when the barrel of oil goes up?...

yep, that's what they always say.

When oil jumps $10 a barrel overnight, the gas they have in their tanks magically goes up too instantly, even though it was a cheaper delivery they had gotten a week prior.

and remember, everybody is only making .2cents a gallon. \:D

I can understand that but let the price per barrel go up and that day you will see an increase !
