I can understand that but let the price per barrel go up and that day you will see an increase !

they have to make enough to buy the next load at the higher price.

Thats a croc...they need to start selling it on consignment then....

What if it drops even lower ? Answer = more profit and I'm not saying I would not do it also because they can , it's just that I'm not going to defend their method in saying like their just going to make so much on a gallon !

I've said it before and will say it again...it has nothing to do with what stik says, it has everything to do with gas/oil being a commodity and the period as oil falls and gas prices do not match the escaltion of the price, nor the decrease in oil prices it is a period of opportunity profitization, it has nothing to do with using money to buy the next shipment with--that's what they want us to believe!

If that logic were used, then they would immediately lower the price since they don't need as much to buy the next load once the price per barrel goes down...

it's not hard to believe when it's simple math. if they make 2-3 cents a gallon then have to pay 7+ cents more for the next load, they have taken a loss. nobody can stay in business long like that.

If it makes you feel any better oil is down "another" dollar+ per barrel today. We should feel that at the pump about September! ;\)

ya but thats just it, its to simple...if they are making 2-3 cents a gallon on thier previous purchase and they don't adjust thier price untill they make thier next puchase, up OR down, then they are still making the exact same profit margine per gallon on what they have paid for thats in the ground regardless of the cost...they aren't losing anything if they don't raise thier prices imediately....

and there is not a business—that is still in business—that will, or can afford to run their business like that you claim stik and if ANY business runs that lean then take a picture of them because they will not be around long. They use gross profit margins to purchase inventory—they don't run paycheck to paycheck as you described—that is what many of their consumers do.

I doubt it because the Dems are gonna take their tax cuts away, that they have never paid because it is passed on as a savings to us the end comsumers. So, I would hold on and brace for even higher prices about September! ;\)
