Thanks for the update Monty !!!! Great news.
Now, hopefully, the Commission, Agency, and Legislature will realize the importance of and need for improving their communications. Those folks who cannot, or will not, work to address issues as professionals need to be called out and replaced.
This especially goes for members of the House Conservation and Environment Committee. Members who hold grudges or simply do not want to engage in these kinds of issues need to be replaced with members who have an interest in the important areas for which this Committee is responsible. And want to work constructively with the public, Commission, and Agency to protect and improve our resources - wildlife and their habitats.
It might be helpful for those of us who participated in this battle to send emails to Speaker Harwell and our Reps (if not her) to voice our strong interest in seeing that she fulfill her promise AND fix the problems that precipitate it - namely, put competent members on the committees/subcommittees that are responsible for our wildlife and related resources. Keeping the pressure on a little longer certainly won't hurt, and it might really help - for a while anyway.
Again, thanks Ruger and everyone else for your involvement - it wouldn't have happened without you.

Someone on the hill probably hog hunts with dogs and is mad as other houndsman over the hog hunts proposals !!! FYI.... twra did not propose that change. Simple as that. Therefore, WE worked together with the Department of Ag,the Farm Bureau, many of the legislators and many of the municipalities that had the most serious hog problems and came up with a plan that everyone agreed with. That's what was signed last month. NOW WHAT DID YOU SAY RUGER !!!!!!!!!
I said then what I say now. TWRA DID NOT PROPOSE THE HOG LEGISLATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TWRA DID DAMAGE CONTROL WITH WHAT WAS SHOVED DOWN THEIR THROAT.
