95 years ago a baby girl was born in the Mountains of NE Tennessee. The baby was delivered by a midwife in the families
dirt floor cabin. They had no electricity, no car, no phone or anything we consider to be a modern convenience. Women did not have the right to vote.
During her lifetime she watched the country transform from a
rural, agriculture based economy to the economic super power we have become.
She watched two world wars, survived the great depression, and
watched man walk on the moon. AND YES she voted for Ronald Reagan not once but twice.
She passed away this afternoon, surrounded by family, electric lights, computers and carpeted floors. In her lifetime, mankind
transformed the world around her.

Sincere condolences! My wife's grandmother will be 95 this November, and still lives at home with my wife's mother in the house that she and her husband built back in the 1940's. She doesn't get around too much anymore and uses a walker, but her mind is still good and she can sure tell some stories of the "old days"!
