I know the feelin, shipping charges are outrageous. I've decided against buying many items because of the ridiculous charges for S&H

dude give them a call and tell them its ridiculous and that you'll just order from somewhere else. they'll knock it down i promise. been there done that.

Well I had a gal from ams email me and say she could save me shipping but she wasn't able to fill my whole order so thats no good either???

Doh! Ruger that's terrible.
I saw where they're blaming the shipping prices on diesel fuel prices. That's crap as well. For example I've paid $20 for shipping on an item, then shipped the same item back for $4!
