Thats what we did after church today.
Had a meal after the services and then a kite flying contest. $\:D$

Good to see I haven't lost my touch.
Total of 650 feet of string was out on mine as well as mans kite.

I wish I had some pictures but I can pretty much draw what ours looked like.

Cool idea!

I was president of our High School's Kite Club.

Wasn't actually a club, but since all it took was to borrow a specific form from the office, and forge a faculty signature to create it, my buddy and I made it happen.

Even got it listed in the Yearbook as one of my senior accomplishments $;\)$

It is fun to get out and fly a kite every now and then.. I haven't done it in a while, probably will when I go to the beach this summer. I've had them out really high, maybe not 600 feet, but I should make a point to do that this year.

Oh and when the sun is out, the wind is down, and I'm not flying kites, I'm flying solar balloons. I guess I have not really shared that on this forum.... I have a web site and all, but here's what they look like.

I have released a few with "if found" tags attached with my contact info, and they have been found 500 and even 600 miles away. Haven't flown one in a while though.
