I would judge you as the President Island Subject-Matter-Expert. What are you thoughts on the effects of the recent flood on the PI Deer Herd and the 2011 PI Hunts?

Most of you were taught hunting by someone who cared about you at a young age and took the time to introduce you to the great sport of hunting. Has TWRA given thought to having a Senior Deer Hunt for our 65 year+ hunters?

Sure, by then I would expect the island tobe recovered, just not with as many mature deer. Providing, that is, the number of fatalities reported is accurate.

I seriously doubt %60 of the herd was killed during the flooding, as reported.

I would have thought that more deer would have survived. Now where they ended up or if they come back is another story. Some hunters in the area are liable to have a few nice bucks in their herd this year.
