I decided with gas being so high, the weather and since I've gotten 2 birds that I was going to stay home today.

I'm glad I did becasue my daughter come running out of her room screaming "Oh my God call an exterminator there's a opossum in my bedroom under the bed". I jumped up off the couch and said WHAT.

Sure enough there it was. I got a axe to club it with but as I approached it backed up and started hissing. I thought better of it and shot it with a .22lr. Called my wife and she said why did you shoot it couldn't you just catch it. Yeah right.....not me.

It is now resting peacefully in the trash can.

Only thing I can figure is that we sometimes leave the sliding door open with the screen door closed. It must have come in here because the screen is ripped at the bottom like a doggy door for the dog to come in and out.

Why did u shoot it. That mess will be hard to clean up. they get in our kennel all the time. They hiss and snarl but are as slow as tree sap. Just grab they by the back of the neck and relocate

Haul em out of my garage, go across the street and let em loose in my neighbors yard. They never make it back across...

She's 19 and she did have a funny look on her face..... I sure laughed after it was over.
