I tried it out this weekend. I forgot to bring a chair, but it was the perfect height to shoot on one knee. Worked great! I shot several sub-1 inch groups. The legs never sunk into the ground, and I can't imagine the ground b eing any wetter!

Great idea! You could also cut a hand hold into the plywood to make it easier to carry. With a dremel tool or something that will make a plunge cut. Great idea and glad its working for ya.
