We had our daughter's cat spayed there and it died the next the day We didn't pursue, we didn't know at the time and our event was last year.

Thank God, I found a new vet since then and just had my lab spayed somewhere else.

Unfortunately this type of deal happens all too frequently in the veterinary industry.
Last summer when my son showed up with his new hound pup he informed us that he was taking it to a different vet from our trusted one from many years to save a few $$ on the shots. Within a week the pup had parvo. When we called our regular vet and explained the symptoms the first question they asked was if it had recently been vaccinated and where? When we told them it was "well we don't like saying it but we get puppies all the time with parvo that have been to that vet's office" They apparently don't like to sanitize daily so it goes on and on and.....

I'm no fly on the wall, but my guess is that techs were probably doing the surgeries while the vet was out goofing off.

but purely conjecture on my part

I have a blue great dane just like those two. He's goin in next month to get snipped. Danes are already tough to opperate on bc of the anesthetic, you can't use that cocktail shot on them bc of the lack of fat and muscle.

If I found out though that the vet killed my dog bc of negligence and not a bad reaction the the anesthetic everyone in that office would be walking with a limp for the rest of their life
