What are you guys eating in the AM that is low carb? I don't have much time before I have to head out to work so cooking eggs and bacon every morning is out for me.

thanks

While I do try to keep my carbs at or below the recommended amounts, my main concern is when I eat the carbs. I typically try to eat less carbs as the day progresses. This is just a rule of thumb that I have self imposed on myself. FWIW, I eat Cheerios for breakfast mainly because it is quick and easy to make every morning at 5AM.

If I'm in a hurry I make a smoothie with a scoop of protein powder and some frozen blueberries, flaxseed oil, a little 2% milk, chia seeds, honey and ice. I'll add some other kind of fruit too if there's something handy. We have blueberry bushes and usually freeze enough in the summer to last all year, or I get more from my parents who grow enough to feed their county.

Wife bought this awesome hand mixer thing called a Bamix that mixes it right in the drinking glass in a few seconds. I probably don't want to know what it costs, but we sure use it a lot.

eggs take 1 minute. microwave proof ramekin, put in egg, scramble it up, nuke on hi for 50-60 seconds, then eat. I'm not on a diet, so I toast an english muffin and put it on that with some Tony Chac shaken on the egg and head to the truck.

I just wake up 10 minutes early and cook 3 scrambled eggs and microwave 4 pieces of bacon every morning. Literally 10 minutes is all you need

You could make up some stuff ahead of time and heat it up. Scrambled eggs if you like. Generally I am out the door with a piece of cheese and maybe some peanuts or something like that. You can also buy the pre-cooked sausage patties or links, which makes things very quick.

Get some Hormel's precooked bacon (Sam's Club) and hardboil some eggs for the fridge. You can microwave the bacon for about 26-29 secs and peel an egg and be eating in a couple of minutes. It makes for a quick low carb meal. I took a pack of bacon out to MT last fall and got some eggs out there and was set for the week!

BTW-your mailbox is full on here. I tried to send you something yesterday and it wouldn't go through.
