My son and his roommates are looking for an inexpensive house to rent for the next year. Really great young men, not partiers. They had a 3-bedroom all set up, for it fell through at the last minute.

Just thought I'd toss a line out here in case someone had the connection they needed.

(He's also looking for a job!)

They found a place wanting three months up front, plus the damage deposit. Adds up to about 2 grand to get started. I'm not familiar with rental agreements, but seems a little rough.

It is probably due to their age and the state of the economy. First and last month + deposit is normal but an extra month is not unheard of. We had to cosign on our son's rental agreement because he was under 25 and not married.

It would be a drive from Maryville to their Knoxville facilities, but if he can get in at a basic warehouse position with them on a 3 day/12 hour shift, he'd love the environment! Will be checking in with them.

And PM on the rental houses!
