Boo makes $7.25 an hour for 20 hours a week.which is $145.00 per week. After her welfare,foreign aid tax and illegal immigrant Social Security, she brings home $102.00. Now she uses at least $70 dollars a week in gas. He insurance is $150 per month. I pay for her car and all the maintenance.
She is in the negative for working!!!!
I think it is cheaper on me for her just to stay home!!

It sucks big time! However, some good can come out of it. I would rather her, or any other kid for that matter, struggle now when they are living at home than later when they are not. First of all, this hardship she is going through can be justification/motivation for obtaining a college degree and a well paying job. Secondly, it shows how government monetary policies can affect the Economy and she, and others, can learn they have a voice in this often ill-advised policies by voting smartly.

when I was working for minimum wage in high school, gas cost 1/4th of what the wage was.
today, gas is 1/2 what min wage is (roughly)
it's hard to make it worthwhile, unless she can carpool

That thing is Big J that you and I, and most of the TnDeer family comes from the belief that working is an honorable profession, instituted by God, and should be practiced by all that are able. Glad that Boo is taking on the responsibility.

What is she driving and how much?
My daughter also is working. Her gas is $30-35 per week. 2004 Dodge Neon.

It doesnt matter if she is in the hole while living at home...what matters is she is learning to work for what she needs and wants. She will learn that she needs a college degree to make good money.
Keep her working.
