I knew it they went up today. I guess once they figure what people are willing to pay why lower the price.

It's the same everytime....raise the price quite a bit, lower the price a few cents and everyone will be saying look cheap gas in a few months but it never gets back to the original price. Has not anyone else noticed this pattern.
The states are the big winners. With sales tax included in the pump price each time the price goes up thats more tax $$ in their pockets. It's not based on a set amount per gallon but pump price.

I agree, the Govt. making 50 cents of every gallon is greedy. or was you talking about "Big Oil" making 1-2 cents per dollar? Good point, CL. Everyone points at the oil companies, but the government is the one milking us.

Yep someone is Greedy. Just came in from about 25 miles south of me and gas at Wal-Mart was $3.78.9

Do you have any links at all to prove that??
The Federal AND state taxes are based on PER GALLION, NOT pump price.
