Sorry to hear that.... I never got a baitcaster so I never got to love one. Just liked to hear about everyone getting a birds nest because they didn't use their thumb right....  I love my spinning reels even though they are just average Shakespeare that came with the rods (Ugly Stiks which I love dearly). Now that will be a sad day when I have to retire an Ugly Stik.
You may never have too. I don't think they ever wear out.

Give me a couple days. I seem to recall I have an almost new biatcaster somewhere out in the garage. If I can find it, you can have it. I can only use open face spinning rods because my left wrist won't hold a casting rod.
I'll go look right now.

Didn't take me five minutes. Walked right to it but you don't want it. It is an old but new asin not used, Browning. I won it in a casting contest at a SEOPA conference and it worth just what I gave for it.
