Just be glad you aren't female. Just sayin'.

Oh, believe me, I am. \:\)

Well daggum... I'm a little embarrassed, but I've got to admit, I'd always pegged you for being a guy.

I blame it on that patchy facial hair.

I got one one me the first weekend of turkey season and came down with southern tick fever. Got sick as a dog. Started the Dioxicilin or whatever it's called. I was back to normal in a day or two, but took the medicine for 2 weeks.

Nope, two NURSES come and one inspects (ahem) my boys, (shining a flashlight on them and poking and prodding) while the other one is holding a sheet in case someone walks in. For some reason, FUBAR's classic story came to mind at this point. The nurse says I got the tick just in time, as there's no bull-eye ring.

THEN the doctor comes in the room--with the nurse--and he has a look, with he and the nurse inspecting and poking and prodding them like a science experiment. Again, the conclusion was that they didn't see any a bite or bulls-eye, and said I pulled it off just in time. Doc told me that if I felt like I had the flu, I needed to call him. That was back in early April. So far, I've been ok, with the exception of a little itching from time to time.

And I bet you went "Nurse Shopping" before you decided which Dr. to go see! \:D

Watch for the tale telling red rash which accompanies the l.d. tick bite about 7 days after.
