My mom and dad are in their 70's and 80's and packing everything they own to try and get out before their home goes under.

My mom and dad are in their 70's and 80's and packing everything they own to try and get out before their home goes under. I hate to hear this for anyone, but especially for elderly people. I am assuming it is the excessive backwater that is impacting them. Whereabouts in Memphis do they reside?
thanks for your concerns. They actually live near the Old River Control Structure nearer to Natchez MS but on the Louisiana side... Presently they won't see a crest there until May 22nd.

the parrish im from is only 5 feet above sea level at the highest level. they saying the parrish will get 5 feet of water. im glad im not there anymore.
