child support?

my wife's father owes boo-koos of back child support. recently he was arrested and someone posted $1500.00 to get him out of jail. A few people have told us that my wife should recieve the $1500.00 that was posted for his bond. does anybody know if that is true? it would sure make things a little easier around here for a little while

I don't think that money goes anywhere but to the state but I could be mistaken.

I agree.. but I don't agree with the way the state goes about putting them in jail. I personally think it would be better if they were put in jail, and forced to work their child support off via road crews, etc.

I can agree with that.
But that would only remove the burden from the deadbeat dad...not provide funds for the child.

Yep, then when he gets out he has NO job and is in the hole again. Yep, some are scum but they make the majority of us good fathers take the heat.
