I was there when the doors opened at the funeral home. I hate funeral homes. We walked in and found his room. There were already a bunch of folks there. I walked up to the casket and Tammy said "strut!". I said yeah, I clean up pretty good. She laughed and we hugged for what seemed like forever. I was crying inside but was staying strong. We chatted a bit and she told me again that he really loved all of his tndeer friends. I told her we loved him too. He looked at peace lying there. He didn't look sick anymore. When we left I couldn't believe how many people were there to pay their last respects. I thought to myself.... look at all those people who were blessed to know Jeff.
I'll miss you my friend.
