Dog was chomping on something. I looked down, and there were several crawling around on the ground. I looked a little harder and found maybe a hundred or so in one area. They're starting to climb the tree trunks looking to molt. In about a week, fishing is going to be freaking unbelievable!!!!

Heck, I'm giddy as a schoolgirl. It doesn't get any better than this. I've been writing about it for over a year, and here it is!!!
You will not find better fishing for another 13 years, so get after it in about a week when the fish are keyed in.

Love it! Sounds like the South to me. Their cycles are very fascinating to me since the non-perennial cycles are all fibonacci numbers.

Bow-D if you shake the tree they're in they will stop chirping.  I haven't seen any here in Cumberland county yet- not sure if they are due for this area or not.
LOL Uh huh.
When they were here a few years ago, you couldn't even think for the noise where Papaw lives. They were in every oak tree he had. He could even hear them over his oxygen machine. Not to mention the danged things flying into you when you were outside. They had those demon eyes. Yuck!
