The river crested here today and tomorrow it will start to go down. The flood will now move from Kentucky down to Tennessee.

The North Fork Forked Deer River crested on Thursday at 27.31 feet, but it may be some time until the water goes down from it. It drains into the MS River and it is still rising.

The river gauge of the Obion River near Bogota read 25.37 feet on Thursday evening with a crest of 26.5 feet, which is expected to occur on Tuesday morning. The Obion River near Mengelwood was at 36.66 feet on Thursday evening. The National Weather Service did not give a projected crest for it.

The MS river level on the Caruthersville, Mo. gauge was at 47.44 feet on Thursday evening. The river is projected to crest on Monday at 49.5 feet.

Thats Real good news for Caruthersville! My wife's family live there and they were very worried the town was going to flood.
