Some people in this country can not look past the fact that the president is HALF-black and no matter what he does for this country, he will never have their support. Immediately following the news of the death of Bin Laden, the skeptics came out blowing uncertainties everywhere.....
if Obama was ever assassinated (God forbid), i have no doubt that many Americans would be glad. Not a good statement about Americans, especially those claiming to be Christians.
Treason takes many forms. Not supporting the highest office of this country is one of those forms, imo.
I try to show support for Obama because the fact that many of our presidents have been worthless, so to speak. Many have lied to us repeatedly and MOST (if not all) have not fullfilled their campaign promises of even did much of what they promised us. I feel that Obama simply falls in to the same category and thusly is no better or worse than any other president we have had in my lifetime.
It is my opinion that he gets hammered so much because of the fact that he is bi-racial. If you are too naive to see that then I guess those blinders fit pretty well.

I guess the left gets the right to do as they please but law abiding citizens get called out on their right to carry a weapon. Oh well. It is the right of the people of this country to vote for, pray to and show allegence to anyone that they wish. Such freedom is what this country is based upon. Sorry if that freedom offends you. Listen, I don't agree with alot of things I see in this country, but what boundaries do we impose and STILL have the freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard to obtain..? JMO I believe we are obligated to set boundaries when the govt, or any other faction for that matter, begins to take away our constitutional rights period, or infringe upon them in any way.
such as freedom of speech.....
the best thing we can do is ignore these people.

That is playing the race card.
I have NEVER once spoken out against Obama because of his race nor have I made remarks that had to do with his race.
I HAVE made posts and spoken out against his POLITICES yet I have had the race card thrown in my face for 3 years for that.
So now that others say the same freedom should be FOR ALL AMERICANS we get the race card thrown at us.

Why are you bringing up Obama on a Sean Penn thread????
BTW- if you want racism, tune into WVOL 1470AM in Nashville from 1-3pm weekdays.
This so called preacher hosts a political show that, if he were white, would be banned in a heartbeat.
Ironically, the 'N' word is used many times a day by the same race that cries racism when someone mentions words like chicken and watermelon for no other reason than a meal.
This 'preacher' has all sorts of names for ANY white person that calls up. And in typical liberal fashion, he dumps the person when they start talking facts.
"teabaggah, honkie, white fooooo" a few of his favorite words.
Sean Penn hangs with Hugo Chavez, a sworn enemy of the US. To me that stinks of traitor.

Un fortunately the first part of your statement is quite true...So is the second part. But just to try to nullify the validity or concerns of all those that are skeptical based soley on the first part is missleading....
I personally don't care what color he is. he has job to do, either I'm staisfied with it the way and direction hes going with it or I'm not...

Again imo you are right..That doesn't mean that everyone who disagrees with his policys or stratigys do so just because hes bi-racial tho...To automaticly suggest that, everytime there is a differance of opinion with anyone, is just as bad if not worse than those that can't get past his skin color imo....

I'd like to see some valid examples of what someones said about his race- other than blacks and those with white guilt.
I loathe the man because of his color.

he absolutely has the right to behave this way but you would think a person would love the country a little more that gives him this right. instead he hates it.
