When it rains, it pours. When it rains, and tornadoes, apparently all hail breaks loose!
Found out today that when power went down, Jeff's house lost power, and they lost two freezers full of meat.
Guess which kind!
By measure, they lost 426 lbs of venison!!
Mrs. Forrest says fortunately their insurance man is a hunter, and told them to check current ground beef prices and file a claim. Yeah, venison is worth more than ground beef, but even partial value helps assuage the stink of 400 lbs of spoiled raw meat!

Well, not to belabor the situation, but his daughter who lost the house Wednesday? Her car died Friday. Fuel pump is apparently shot. Good grief.
Got to talk with her today, and she has been pretty frazzled, but she was excited to have just learned that someone has found 3 different apartments that are available to rent that won't require a rent in advance deposit. I'm betting rental properties in our area are gonna be covered up very shortly.
She also knows that the car and the house situation don't hold a candle to daddy's situation. She's doing better.
