Ironically, Jeff's birthday is today. I have not received word of any change in his condition. Jeff is 49-years-old today, and I doubt that short of a total healing in his physical condition, that there's anything he would want more than what he has in being surrounded by his family.
I can't tell you what it did to me to see his daughter bring in Little Forrest. Tell papaw that you love him "What's wrong with him?" Papaw's sick. You wanna hug him? "Yeah. (lays his head on Jeff's chest for a moment) I wanna kiss his hand. (kisses his hand near where the IV is... Things get real blurry after that.
Today would be a good day to treat your family extra special. While you can. Would be a good gift on several levels.

I just don't know what to say.
I had no idea that it had gotten this bad. I spoke with Jeff on the phone a couple months ago and I guess I just figured he'd get better like he did the last time.
I posted on the prayer thread a couple weeks ago but the severity STILL didn't sink in.
It wasn't until I read Nimdrod's thread last night that I finally came to the realization that Jeff wasn't coming home. Our friend was going to pass.
This has left a whole in my heart.
I love Jeff. He is one of the kindest, most authentic people you'll ever meet.
If people have a trade-in or blue book value, Heaven is getting a mint condition, classic of a soul.
I now pray that Jeff is free of pain and suffering and that his family finds comfort in knowing that he is loved by so many and his passing is effecting an entire state of friends who have cherished his company and contributions.
God Speed, my friend.

That is very sweet & while he consciously couldn't respond he subconsciously understood & felt the love from the grandchild. As my mother declined, the people who really brightened her day were my son & his son, her grandson & great grandson. It is important for those who are passing to know that good things & people will go on after they've left. Prayers sent for NBF, his family & friends.
