Have to share this one with you guys.

I was changeing the oil in a truck today,and just as I got the filter off.. I spot a strange dog walking across the driveway and a Pit Bull at that. Walked right into the garage and made himself at home. BTW The truck and me were in the driveway.

While I ain't afraid of any Dog I do give them all due respect esp those I don't know and that goes for all not just the so called bad breeds.

I got out from under the truck eased back around the house and retrived my Pistol just in case. Went back to the garages and whistled he he came right up to me and laid down right at my feet.Had a collar but no tag. Let my neighbors know to be on the look out just in case while I made a few phone calls.

While I didn't have any luck onee of my neighbors did find out who it belonged to,and a good freind of theres about 2 miles away.Spent a evening with them at a get together rubbing the ol boys belly a few months back still a pup then.

The ol boy stayed around here all afternoon right up untill they pulled in to take him back home. They decide to say Hello to my neighbours wife before headed out to look for themselves. While doing so I and my neighbors husband spotted a lady walking down the road and the dog walking right along with her,gave a little wistle and here he came.She was hopeing to find someone looking for him as he had done her as me.

Seems he has been getting out an roaming latealy,broke 2 chains and collars,reason for no tag,dug 3 feet under a garage to get out recentaly and spent a few days with another family in there house after getting out recentaly.

Put the new tag on his collar as the new one was a wee bit too big and help load him up,Owner had to lift the big lug and get into the car with the dog while we shut the door behind her. $\:D$ $\:D$

Funny how a dog knows whats up. $;\)$

Just hope they keep him up as somebody else might not be so nice next time.

Some of those type breeds can be intimidating. I think their demeanor has a lot to do with the way they're raised.

love dogs.

can't blame a dog for roaming.

hope the owner does a better job at keeping the dog confined and safe.

Funny, I had a pitbull show up at my house on Thursday night. She walked right up to me and laid down and submitted. When I reached down to check her for a collar or tag (she had neither), I made the mistake of petting her for a second.

After that, she decided to stay and I couldn't run her off. My dogs are barking like crazy at her and every time I went into the house, she would start barking up a storm, too. This goes on all night while my alarm is set for 3:00 am to go turkey hunting. I went outside several times and chased her down the road while throwing sticks at her and she would just come right back. My ol 'lady wouldn't let me call animal control since the fate of a pit bull in Memphis is sealed the moment they catch her.

Anyway, one the our neighbors took her in on Friday morning and said she would keep her in her yard for a day and try to find the owner. After keeping her for one day, she decided to keep the dog forever, unless of course the owner turns up, which they won't... its Memphis.

we had a car drop a pit pup out of a car in the petsmart parking lot right in front ofme and my wife in knoxville. being the person my wife is, we kept her and up until 2 years ago when my wife became pregnant, she was the best dog ever. two months before my wife was due, she became VERY leary of me, my walker hound, and Very protective over my wife, to the point of no one being in the room with her,,needless to say, she went to a rescue home
