Entertaining the idea of selling my 99 F-250. Just wandering if people are buying diesels with fuel being so high. Any thoughts? Truck is great just looking at a new Yukon. Keep or Sell???

Before gas went up u couldn't find a diesel on a lot now there full of them and not moving either. You should hold on to it till gas goes back down then it will be an easy sell and u will get more out of it.

You guys might be correct. Be lucky to get $11,000 for truck so I might just need to keep her.

Diesel is only .10 more a gallon here. I'd keep it. I imagine your F250 gets reasonable fuel milage.

With the increased fuel mileage you are getting out of the diesel, are you really paying more? I have not done it with mine (Chevy 2500 Duramax), but you may want to compare it to a similar size truck that is running unleaded.

I have thought about trading mine for a much smaller truck but not sure if it is really worth it. Things will have to get much worse for that to happen.

Heck, who knows, maybe the government will drop taxes on diesel as it is a "greener" fuel.

My thoughts exactly on the situation. Several times have I heard a friend compare the price of diesel to the price of 87 in a complaining manner. "Compare your 20+ MPG to my 12 MPG and do the math. You're not paying any more, perhaps less.

I'm contemplating selling or trading my 01 F-350 just because I've found an 07 F-250 that I really want with low miles. Both are diesels.
