My cousin who lives in Van Buren County was mowing his yard today and found some cancelled checks laying in his yard. According to him it was from a preacher in Smithville, Mississippi and had travelled over 200 miles from the storms Wednesday!!! That is almost hard to imagine. He said that Smithvile MS was one of the towns that was hit by the storm. Hopefully the man and his family are ok.

Shane, this was found in the Bone Cave Community, not far from your neck of the woods.

Has happened here in McMinn county also.
In Sweetwater we found a couple of baseball cards and a picture of a car with a Alabama tag on it.

I seen an Yahoo that a sign of some kind was found in upper East TN that came from Ringgold GA. But that place was almost demolished by a tornado.

Yep, the Ringgold sign was a simple cardboard sign that made it up to Knoxville, about 120 miles.

I had a lot of debris dumped in my yard and surrounding woods. So far I have a found a sales receipt for a Yamaha motor cycle from Meridian Mississippi, part of a bill from a gas company in Birmingham Alabama, the oddest thing was about a 1/4 of newspaper sheet from 1985. I guess someone was keeping as a keepsake.
The other scraps of paper were bible pages, school worksheet for a 3rd grader named Tyler, and a bunch of post it notes.
