I've been using this for some years and it's useful for viewing the gage height, discharge, and sometmes other parameters on many rivers at many locations throughout the US, in graph format.

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/tn/nwis/rt

This link goes straight to TN. Find the circles in your county and mouse over to see which river and at what location. Click on it to see the stats... I think this is very useful. Shows floodstage on the graph too, if the river gets that high.

The Harpeth River at Franklin is up towards 18 feet, not near floodstage yet, but that is definitely high.

Problem is, it costs the Corps so much money to install and maintain gauging stations, that any data between river miles has to be interpolated, and can't be counted upon fully. There are only about 4 or 5 stations over the entire Hatchie.

Yeah it only is reliable if you got a station where you want it. For the Harpeth River I got data right in Franklin where I live.

Bolivar is the nearest one to my lease. I made notes on what I can and can't do at certain levels.

Thanks Chaney. I work for the Corps and live in Atoka and have hunted all my life in and around Covington/Brownsville/Shepp bottom/Koko/Whiteville/Bolivar. I am wondering where the other two are. \:\)

Here are a few we use on the boat.

http://www.ribb.com/index.php

http://www.tva.com/river/lakeinfo/index.htm

http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograp...10,7,8,2,9,15,6

The last one is just a direct link to Clarksville, so we can tell if we can fit under the Rail Road bridge.

The TVA will give you all the dam data.

RIBB has a hodgepodge of riverboat stuff.

This is some stuff we use to help us. We are "supposed" to be "professionals".. \:D
