Are you impressed?Im not.He was born, thats it.Didnt save them from invading hoards, take the country back from the Germans, take the Crown from an evil King.Didnt go out and win an election.Just born to the right family.I dont get it,all the money they spend on the "royals".Glad I dont have to support it.

If my wife and kids didnt have on the tube all the time on NBC in the morning,I doubt I would even know.

If I hear one word about it I turn the channel! I am so tired of hearing about it, I would not watch it if they were paying people to!

I really don't understand why so many people in this country seem to care about the "royal wedding".

because some people THINK they need to worry about everyone else. It pisses me off that people get into everyone buisness. people need to worry about what goes on in there own lives and stop worring about everyone else

I'll add that what better way for the media to take our minds off of how bad a hole Obama has dug than to have Royal Wedding 24/7 coverage.

Yep. No different from those whose lives revolve around the NFL, NCAA, NASCAR and the Oscars, to name just a few other meaningless vicarious diversions.

I have seen very little of the coverage and no one I know talks about it except on tndeer. Go figure. But I love weddings so it doesn't tick me off. Besides, how often does a girl start the day as a commoner and end the day as a full-fledged princess?

Well it's like this, if it don't interest you then don't watch or read. I don't but the wife does. What's on the outdoor channel don't interest her. To each his own.

The estimated cost on this Royal Wedding is 48 million dollars. The estimated cost (loss) to the UK economy is 7.9 billion dollars due to a "royal holiday" that has been declared. Employers fear workers will take entire week off.

They should elope. \:D

Watched an edited replay of it. Interesting... Love the traditions, but could care less about weddings.

What? Traditions and weddings go hand in hand. And then, of course, there are the weddings that don't follow tradition which are interesting statements of sociological ways in themselves.

Of course you are a dude so I am not surprised you don't care about weddings. \:\)

Discussions about the merits of the British Monarchy and the hype about the wedding aside, after the fall of France, the British essentially stood alone between the U.S. and the Axis powers for over a year while we hoped and pretended Hitler would just go away. The U.S. entry into WWII turned the tide and assured the eventual outcome, but to overlook the importance of the RAF and the Battle of Britain is to ignore history.
