I haven't been squirrel hunting in years but I'm thinking about picking it back up. I'm thinking I'll get a bolt action, magazine fed .22 with an undetermined scope. What do you use?

I shoot mine with a shotgun. I use #5's or #6's. I usually carry my twenty guage pump.

I use a Ruger 77, 22lr with a Simmons 3X9........... Now that spring squirrel season is open and we've had a good rain today, I'll probably go on my off days, thur. & friday.....Also been thinking about using my 45 cal CVA with homemade 250 gr. R.E.A.L's with 80 gr. of triple 7 and iron sights some also. I only eat the hind legs and back anyways....Don't use a shotgun much anymore... Love to squirrel hunt....Deer hunt too............BH51

Either a 12 ga pump w/mod choke and 6 shot or a 10/22 depends on my mood.

My squirrel rig is a Marlin 22 Mag with a Simmons 8 Pointer scope. I love using the Speer TNT ammo. Absolutely devastating.

Browning .22 lever action with a simmons 3x9x40. Too much of a scope really but it gets the job done.

I got my set up put together today....Ruger 10/22 topped with a Nikon 4x32 rimfire scope. I also picked up a 50 round magazine. Should be pretty deadly on the squirrels.

I recently started using a Savage bolt action 93r in .17hmr....hate my trigger still, but I tell ya, that gun will smack them treerats right out of the tree and stone cold dead at 100 plus yards.......early season, if the trees are full of leaves, I kinda like the ole .410 with number 4 shot....al
