i built a atv disc out of a old drag disc last year and to my suprise it worked really well.but as my luck would have it two of the box style bearings are in really bad shape and the farm store said they dont make them any more .any one have any thoughts on how i could replace them ?

not sure how to post pics here yet, but it is what they "i think" call a box bearing , a spool with grooves sits in side a housing with matching grooves ,i guess the didnt greese them and it was metal on metal .

google disc harrow bearings or look on ebay...they may have what you need to do a straight replacement.
I could make it work but it might be a total after market fix.That might be more trouble than its worth(?)....

There is no way to even guess without lookin at it...there are just to many differant things to consider when it comes to trying to make one work with what you've got...
