Actually, it is advertised as only an "outer/over garment" light weight mesh material & cut to be worn over your existing clothing.
But, the wedsite has the new updated line.

the video make sense as i have often wonder way all my camo was green base in the dead of winter ,only thing green was me on the side of a tree up about 20 ft , but i dont really think it hurt deer sightings .but just the same it dont make a lot of sense

Just bought the 3D mesh version of ASAT. Fits good over my regular clothes and the quality is good. It cost more than the 3D versions you get at B.P.or Cabelas but the concept made enough sense to make me want to try it. Wore it Saturday turkey hunting and my hunting partner just smiled. So be prepared for some odd looks because you don't see many people wearing it.

ASAT has seemed to work extremely well for me through the years.

(I say "seemed" simply because I would have to infer that from my perspective. Never been able to interview the game I've taken while wearing it, after the fact!) =)

It was developed by a couple of guys that lived in Hendersonville at the time it was developed. By the time it went to full production by Brigade Quatermasters they had moved to the Dickson area. Last I heard they were living in the Knoxville area.
Yes, Bowriter did have a hand in the development. He has lots of photos floating around wearing the pattern. I had a couple of outfits until a few years ago when they suddenly shrunk and I could not wear them anymore. I still have one of the unlined Winona Wear zippered sweaters. I still love it and it may be one of the warmest garments I use on a regular basis.

I have some of the ASAT wool from First Lite. It is my favorite camo. I have the gila pant and the chama shirt. I don't beleive I had a single deer see me in my stand last year, which is a first for me (I tend to look around alot!).

It is my opinion that it is the best camo on the market (of course that is why I bought it). I did a massive amount of research on camo last year, and the only other two that I thought had much value was the Sitka open digital stuff and predator, with possible the addition of natural gear. All the other patterns make you look like a dark blob from distance. I would just as soon hunt with a plain tan shirt and pants than some of the name brand camo out there.

The wool is great because it doesn't stink, even after you sweat. It somehow keeps you cool in hot weather and warm in cool weather. I splurged and ordered the Labradour Zip jacket this year.
