has anyone been able to get their garmin to communicate with google earth? I have loaded a waypoint to google earth but I don't know how to load a dropped pin onto my garmin as a waypoint, any ideas?

I just find the point on google earth and then punch that point into my garmin as a waypoint. The garmin takes me to the spot. If I find a good spot while in the field, I make a waypoint and then load that into the search function on Google earth. Takes me right there and then drop a pin to mark the spot. Transfer to google maps and you can pull it up on your smart phone in the field. Hope this helps.

In your Google Earth toolbar, click "Tools." In the drop down menu you will see "GPS." From there you have an option to sync with your garmin.

Just looking at GE and I dont see where data can be sent to a device, pulled from it yes, but sent, no.
If you have Mapsource (Garmin software)... ...in GE, do a "save as" ...open the file with MS ..."send" to your GPS
using GE version 6.0.3.2197
